Our project terms
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you read our standard project terms and conditions below before starting your project.
PAYMENT TERMS
We require 50% of the total project cost or estimate median to be paid upfront as a deposit to book your project into our diary. Please note that by processing our initial invoice you are also acknowledging & accepting the terms stated here. The remaining balance of the total project cost will be invoiced on completion of the work and is due immediately. We do not operate using an invoice period - prompt payment allows us to quote extremely competitive prices & turnaround times.
ADDITIONAL TASKS ADDED DURING YOUR BUILD
We like to have a very tight production ready brief/costing before starting work to keep our costs down & projects organised - but sometimes things can change from our clients' side during the build.
If this occurs additional time can be agreed in advance during the build to cover any additional work or “mission creep”. This will be charged at our standard hourly rates.
Some examples of additional work that can arise during a project are:
Your page count increases, (you ask for more pages than quoted to be added to your site)
Your existing pages require a more complex structure/layout or involve more content than initially discussed in preparation of your quote
Any creation of graphics or lengthy image/icon searching not initially discussed
You provide your content or feedback in a manner outside our in-house system that requires significant additional time to organise
You require additional revision/feedback sessions
Additional consultation/correspondence time
We have a number of meetings built into a project quote as standard
If you require additional significant consultation meetings/calls with David and/or George in excess of this then extra time can be added on at £95/hr
Standard hourly or run-on rates
Web design - £95/hr
Basic/processing tasks - £75/hr
Consultation with David or George - £95/hr
THE BUILD SCHEDULE
We will agree with you in advance a realistic schedule for the first phase of your build project and book this into our in-house system.
This process usually takes 1-2 weeks from when we receive your initial content. You should aim to keep as close to this schedule as possible and keep us informed of any changes. Once we have completed the initial build we will then confirm dates for the remaining stages with you as these will depend on your availability to provide feedback & any outstanding content.
Please see our typical step-by-step guide to working with us here →
MISSED CALLS & DEADLINES - RESCHEDULING FEE
Throughout the project there will be various calls as well as content and feedback deadlines that we will schedule into our diaries
These will all be agreed with you in advance. If you are unable to make a call, content or feedback deadline and fail to notify us in sufficient time beforehand we will add an automatic £35.00 rescheduling fee to your final invoice. This is to cover any lost time as well as the admin involved to reschedule/reorganise the various stages of your project.
PAUSING A PROJECT - PAUSED PROJECT FEE
You can ask us to pause your project at any point during the build. A pause is a period of 4 weeks+
Please note however this will incur a paused project fee of £100.00 to cover the admin time required to reschedule and pick up your project again when you return to us. We will also issue an interim invoice for the balance of work done to date on a paused project.
INACTIVE PROJECT - RESCHEDULING FEE
If you have not requested a pause but your project stalls because of delays at your end that significantly affect the pre-agreed schedule by 4 weeks or more then we will issue an invoice for the balance of work done to date. Your project will also incur a £100.00 rescheduling fee when you do return to us to cover the admin time required to reschedule and pick up your project again.
PROPOSAL VALIDITY
Please note that our proposals are either a fixed costing or estimation based on our current packages, fixed fees & hourly rates & are valid for a period of 3 months from the date stated at the top of the proposal. If you return to us after this time, we may need to re-evaluate your existing estimate to reflect any changes in our pricing structure OR any change in your requirements/project scope.
