How to Choose the Right Pages for Your Business Squarespace Website
A simple guide to help you plan your Squarespace website structure
Once you’ve decided to have us build you a new Squarespace website, the next big question is:
“Which pages do I actually need?”
We will help you with that process but to get you started we have created a simple guide to the general basic requirements below.
The answer depends on what kind of business you run, what your customers need to know, and what action you want them to take.
The Essentials (Almost Every Site Needs These)
No matter what you do, these pages form the solid foundation of your website:
Home
Your homepage is your window to the world. It should give a clear, confident snapshot of who you are, what you offer and the key benefits that you bring - plus clear click throughs into the key sections of your site.
About
People love buying from people. Use this page to tell your story, explain your values, and build trust. Images of the team and mini bios really help.
Contact
Make it easy for people to get in touch! Include your email, phone number, address (if relevant), and social links — and ideally a simple contact form ( for us 95% our our enquiries come via our contact form )
Here’s where your site starts to shape itself around your services or goals:
Example Website Structures by Type of Business
Let’s look at basic examples for different industries and creative sectors - these of course need to be tailored for your audience and your requirements.
NOTE: in addition to your key pages you may require additional minor simple legal text only pages (Privacy Policy, T&C, Shipping, etc.)

How to Decide What You Need
Ask yourself:
What do my customers need to know before they take action?
What pages do my key competitors have - can I learn from this or can I improve on this
What Call To Action ( CTA ) do I want relevant users to make on the site? (buy, book, call, sign up etc?)
Remember to keep things simple and focused - less is usually more in web design!
Final Thought from David & George:
Whether you're a luxury brand, professional business, a startup or an artist / maker - we’ll help you pick the pages that work for your business right now, while leaving space to grow in the future.
We’ll guide you every step of the way - no jargon, just a clear focused path forward.
